Terms of Service
Screenhaus (9569-1069 Québec inc.)
Last updated: 23 August 2026
These terms govern your use of screenhaus.ca and any equipment you rent from Screenhaus. By booking, you agree to them. If you are booking on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.
1. Who we are
Screenhaus (9569-1069 Québec inc.), 1438 Rue Mackay, Unit #241, Montréal, QC H3G 2H8. Reach us at privacy@screenhaus.ca or +1 438 509 1393.
2. What we do
We rent LED screens and related equipment, and we deliver, set up, and collect them within our published service areas. Availability and pricing are shown live on the site.
3. Quotes, holds, and bookings
A quote is an estimate at the prices and availability shown at that moment. It is not a reservation.
A hold reserves equipment for a limited window shown at the time you place it. When the window passes, the hold is released and the equipment returns to inventory.
A booking is confirmed when we have received the payment due at booking and sent you a confirmation email. Until then the equipment is not reserved for you.
4. Prices, taxes, and payment
All prices are in Canadian dollars. GST of 5% and QST of 9.975% are added at checkout.
You choose one of three payment paths at checkout:
- Pay in full. A 10% discount applies to the rental subtotal, charged at booking.
- Deposit. 10% at booking. The balance is charged automatically to your card on file seven days before the delivery date.
- Instalments. 10% at booking, then monthly payments. A financing premium of 3% of the remaining balance applies for each instalment, so a six-instalment plan adds 18% of the post-deposit balance. The total is shown before you confirm.
By booking you authorize us to charge your card on file for scheduled payments, and for any amounts owing under sections 8 and 9.
If a scheduled payment fails, we will notify you and retry. If payment has still not been made after three attempts, we may cancel the booking and apply the cancellation terms below.
5. Changes to a booking
You can request a change to your event dates. A change fee of $50 applies, and the new dates are subject to availability. Changes are not guaranteed and are confirmed only when we say so in writing.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Cancel within seven days of booking and you receive a full refund, reduced by 10% of the booking total for each day since booking. After seven days, amounts paid are non-refundable.
We may cancel a booking if the equipment becomes unavailable, if the delivery site is unsafe or inaccessible, or if payment is not completed. If we cancel for a reason that is not your fault, you get a full refund. That refund is the limit of what we owe you for the cancellation.
7. Delivery, setup, and collection
You are responsible for making sure that:
- Someone 18 or older is on site to receive and release the equipment during the delivery and collection windows you selected
- The delivery route and setup location are accessible, and any parking, loading dock, elevator, or building access is arranged
- Suitable grounded power is available at the setup location
- Any venue permissions or permits are in place, including venue AV rules
If we arrive and cannot deliver or set up because one of these is missing, the booking is treated as a same-day cancellation and no refund is due. Additional trips are billed at our then-current rate.
Delivery and collection windows are estimates. We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, venue access, or other things outside our control.
8. Your responsibilities while you have the equipment
The equipment stays our property throughout the rental. You may not sublet it, move it to a different address, modify it, or open any enclosure.
You are responsible for the equipment from delivery until we collect it, including loss, theft, and damage beyond normal wear. That includes damage from weather, liquid, power surge, or use outside the operating conditions we set out at setup. Repair or replacement is billed at cost.
Outdoor use requires our written agreement in advance and appropriate weather protection.
9. Late return and non-return
If the equipment is not available for collection at the agreed window, an additional day's rental is charged for each day it remains out. Equipment not recovered within 14 days is treated as lost and billed at full replacement value.
10. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has access.
If you invite a partner to manage bookings for you, that partner can see and manage those bookings until you turn the access off in your account.
11. Limitation of liability
We provide the equipment and the service as is, and we do not promise the equipment will be free of defect or interruption.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost revenue, lost profit, lost attendance, or the cost of a replacement supplier.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Québec law, including liability for bodily injury caused by our fault, and nothing here removes the protections the Consumer Protection Act gives you if you are a consumer.
12. Acceptable use of the site
Do not attempt to disrupt the site, access accounts or data that are not yours, scrape it at scale, or use it to break the law.
13. Intellectual property
The site, its copy, images, and design belong to Screenhaus. You may not copy or reuse them without our written permission.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your booking is the one published when you confirmed it. Material changes will be posted here with a new date.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of the judicial district of Montréal have jurisdiction.
The parties confirm they have requested that these terms be drawn up in English. Les parties confirment avoir demandé que ce document soit rédigé en anglais.
